PORTLAND — One streak ended for the Everett Silvertips, but the most important one kept on going.
Dustin Wolf allowed his first goal of the season, but Cole Fonstad scored in overtime as the Silvertips remained undefeated with a 2-1 win over the Portland Winterhawks on Friday evening.
After a scoreless first period, Gage Goncalves opened the scoring with a goal in the second.
Later in the frame, Wolf’s scoreless streak ended at 216 minutes, 27 seconds when Portland’s Simon Kirk scored a short-handed goal.
But Fonstad’s goal in overtime gave Everett the rivalry win.
