EVERETT — Twin sisters Mae and Alana Washington did the heavy lifting as fourth-seeded Everett (12-7) beat eighth-seeded Meadowdale 51-31 in a 3A District 1 Tournament winner-to-state, loser-out game on Saturday.
The skilled 6-foot sophomores combined to score 32 of Everett’s 51 points. Mae Washington led the way with 19 points, including three rainbow 3-pointers, along with six rebounds and four blocked shots, while Alana Washington scored 13. Emma Larson added 10 rebounds for the Seagulls.
Gia Powell scored 13 points and Ava Powell added 11 boards for Meadowdale, which finished its season 11-10.
