EVERETT — The Washington Wolfpack remain in search of their first Arena Football League win after dropping a 34-21 decision to the West Texas Desert Hawks on Sunday at Angel of the Winds Arena.
West Texas improved to 3-0, the Wolfpack fell to 0-3.
Washington made history when newly signed kicker Melissa Strother made an extra point in the first quarter, becoming the first woman to ever score a point in the history of the Arena Football League. Strother finished 3-for-3 on extra points.
Xzavier Crawford returned the game’s opening kickoff for a touchdown as Washington led 7-6 at the end of the first quarter. However, West Texas surged ahead 20-7 at halftime and the Wolfpack could never catch back up.
Deshon Williams caught six passes for 63 yards and a touchdown for the Wolfpack.
