SEATTLE — Police say a cabbie was pistol-whipped and robbed early Friday in Seattle after he pulled over to pick up a man who flagged him down.
As they were talking, two other men got into the cab and pulled guns. They beat the driver with their guns and stole his cellphone and GPS unit.
The suspects drove away in two cars. The cabbie called police who stopped a suspicious car. The cabbie identified one of the men inside as an attacker. Police arrested him and found two guns and the stolen GPS unit.
Police say when the suspect was in a precinct holding cell he tried to dispose of a bag of methamphetamine. He was jailed for investigation of robbery and drug charges.
