Kept his promise to our community

Four years ago, voters within Snohomish County’s council district 5 voted in Dave Somers as their county council representative. He unseated a fellow democrat. Why did that happen? Because hard-working, tax-paying voters decided a change was needed. Why was it needed? Because developments were being approved so quickly and without regard to how these fast-growing areas should be planned and who should pay for the roads, schools, parks, and drainage that would be needed.

Dave Somers believed then and continues to believe that new developments should shoulder more of the costs of providing these services. And he has kept his promise, working under some difficult situations, to change some laws so that growth would pay more for its impacts. And he has more work to do to get this job done.

Now is not the time to change what we know works, and works well. Dave wants to continue working hard for citizens. If you look at who supports the candidates, it is clear that Dave Somers works for you, and his opponent works for the big developers. Please re-elect Dave Somers for county council.
