Young’s remarks were sour grapes

Regarding the Dec. 14 letter, “Marysville recall: School board stood up for students”: I’m very interested to see that board member Ron Young fancies himself a local George Bush with his now famous “bring it on.” His comments about the new members seems a lot like sour grapes just because his former cronies didn’t win another term on the school board. I think that his disparaging remark about “can we expect them to be objective in negotiating pending union contracts?” was unfair. He should at least have the courtesy to allow them the opportunity to show their leadership abilities before he started criticizing them. I’m sure that he was afforded the chance to get acclimated to the job before any criticizing was aimed at him, if any was.
