Stealing gifts from porch pretty low

The Grinch who stole Christmas drives a maroon car. On Dec. 22 my neighbor saw a maroon car pull up in front of my house and take a large package off my front porch after darkness had come.

My neighbor came over when I got home a few minutes later to tell me about the miserable creep who stole not only my gift but gifts for my children and grandchildren, from my sister in Missouri. Christmas is supposed to be a time of love and giving, but there are some people who have no qualms about robbing others of their joy.

Any other time of the year, the postman leaves a slip in my mailbox and I have to go pickup the package at the postal station. This time, at the height of theft season, the package was left on my porch in full view. I didn’t know who to be angriest with, the wretched creep who stole the gifts of nine people, or the postman who delivered it.

Although not her fault, my sister is equally upset because the joy of giving to our family has been robbed from her too.

I hope the terrible thief who stole the gifts had a miserable Christmas and has a New Year wracked with guilt for what they did.
