Here’s how some of your taxes were spent during recent city council and school board actions.
Edmonds: $27,000 to renew for one year the contract of senior executive City Council assistant Jana Spellman.
$6,340 from the city budget to cover its $27,000 share of the joint recycling coordinator position it shares with Lynnwood. The remainder of Edmonds’ share comes from a state grant.
Everett: $1,200 to Dorothy Harwood of Kirkland for music instruction at Camp Patterson for the parks department.
$2,144 to Adapco of Atlanta for mosquito insecticide for city ponds.
$1,685 to Northwest Landscaping Services of Woodinville for landscaping at Everett’s service center complex.
$1,500 to James Seely of Washington, D.C., for consulting on military issues for the city.
Lake Stevens: $74,728 to B&L Utility Inc. of Snohomish for site work on the new police station.
$1,575 to Auckland Enterprises of Snohomish for tree work on two plats.
$882 to B.C. MacDonald’s of Lake Stevens for a Cities &Towns dinner in November.
$1,050 to Blumenthal Uniforms of Seattle for police uniforms.
$16,090 to CHS Engineers LLC of Bellevue for engineering services on a variety of projects.
Marysville: $53,806 to Waste Management Northwest of Phoenix, Ariz., for collection and recycling of yard waste.
$687 to Westside Fire and Safety Supply of Marysville for fire extinguisher maintenance.
$2,000 to Zachor &Thomas Inc. of Edmonds for legal services.
$12,247 to Snohomish County PUD for electrical service.
$14,080 to Snohomish County Public Works for an aid agreement and road overlays.
Snohomish School District: $1,807 a month for three years to Corstone Enterprises for office space to house capital projects staff.
Monroe: $66 to Chinook Lumber of Monroe for shelving.
$1,034 to Dell Marketing LP of Palatine, Ill., for a laptop computer replacement.
$9,975 to Hughes Supply, Inc. of Seattle for new water meters.

Snohomish: $115 to Ann Caley, a city employee, for mileage reimbursement from Feb. 29 to Nov. 15.

$75 to Snohomish Historical Society for use of the Waltz Building for a community reception for police chief finalists.
$7,780 to SNOPAC, a 911 dispatch center in Snohomish County, for dispatch services.
