EVERETT – Police arrested a man Friday in connection with the shooting death of a man whose body was found Nov. 23 on a trail south of Arlington.

Everett officers arrested the man, 30, at the Topper Motel in the 1000 block of Broadway, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokesman Rich Niebusch said.

Feroz Rahman, 23, was found with a gunshot wound to his head on a trail near the 19500 block of Burn Road. Rahman likely was murdered elsewhere and his body was brought to the trail, the sheriff’s office reported in December.

Family members reported seeing Rahman between Nov. 8 and Nov. 12 near the intersection of Casino Road and Evergreen Way in Everett. His last known address was in Snohomish, but his roommates told investigators he had not been there since mid-October.

Detectives located the suspect through their investigation, Niebusch said. The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of second-degree murder. He was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
