Machinists striking against Boeing in Alabama had to go to court to get permission to set up a picket line outside the company’s main plan in Huntsville. A judge sided with them, the Huntsville Times reported http://www.al.com/business/huntsvilletimes/index.ssf?/base/business/113153139324610.xml&coll=1 .

Key Quote: “(The judge) ruled striking machinists can picket in small numbers in front of the main gate at the Boeing plant in Huntsville, over the objections of the local airport authority, which owns the property. … The Huntsville-Madison County Airport Authority had said its rules, which allowed only daylight to dusk picketing and kept picketers 300 yards from the main gate in a 20-foot by 20-foot area, were aimed at safety.”
