Everett: Bank customer helps in robbery arrest
A customer who witnessed a bank robbery followed the crook to a nearby casino and helped police make an arrest, Everett police Lt. Bob Johns said.
The person was in line at Key Bank about 1 p.m. at the intersection of Madison Street and Evergreen Way when a man passed a threatening note to a teller, Johns said.
The man got cash from the teller and left.
The customer followed the man into a casino about a block-and-a-half away as someone called 911.
Police arrested a man from the casino. Bank employees identified him as the robber, and he had the stolen money with him, Johns said.
The man was expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
