His sentence was hardly unfair

Unfair, my goodness. Unfair is a word that should be reserved for neighborhood children’s games. Daniel Larson admitted that he strangled a young woman while her husband held her down (News article, Nov. 4 “Convicted killer rolls dice”). According to The Herald, Mr. Larson is whining about getting a 20-year prison sentence. He is getting help from a defense attorney who states that it is fundamentally unfair for the prosecutor’s office to go after Larson for a more serious offense.

Fundamentally unfair, if we are going to use those words, is that Anastasia King has been brutally murdered and her killers are still alive. That is unfair.
