Barbara McCarthy has been promoted to executive vice president at Frontier Bank. She has worked in the banking industry for 39 years and has been with Frontier Bank for the past 25 years.

Ben Astrom has joined Cascade Bank’s business banking group as vice president, treasury management services. He works out of the bank’s corporate headquarters in downtown Everett. With more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, he has specialized in business banking, sales and product management.

Paul Robinson has been hired by Banner Bank to lead its banking team at its Alderwood branch location. Prior to joining Banner Bank, he was the branch manager of Key Bank in Woodinville. Former Alderwood branch manager Allison Gilham will focus her responsibilities on division operations as vice president and division operations manager.

Milt Douglas, senior vice president with Everett-based Frontier Bank, will open a new office at 520 112th Ave. NE., Suite 150 in Bellevue. This will be the 45th office in Western Washington for Frontier Bank. Douglas will manage the office, along with a team of six other longtime bankers. Joining Douglas are Cheryl Gunderson, Chuck Brockway, Ronald Jackman, Alan Parsons, Theresa Sykes and Marlene Blair.

Dan Buttle has been promoted to regional distribution support leader at the Northwest regional offices of Allstate Insurance Co. in Bothell. He has worked for Allstate for 27 years and is a Woodinville area resident.

Kathleen Wilcox, the outgoing president and chief executive officer of WSA (formerly Washington Software Alliance), has joined the Harris Washington board of directors. Harris is a financial service organization based in Seattle.

Pat Lynch has been hired as the home loan representative for the Peoples Bank Home Loan Center, 15506 Main St. in Mill Creek Town Center. She has more than 20 years of mortgage lending experience.

John Reggans is celebrating his 10th anniversary as president of Everett Chevrolet. For nine years running, Everett Chevrolet has ranked of Black Enterprise Magazine’s to 100 auto dealers. Reggans has been a member of the General Motors Minority Dealers Association board of directors for seven years and the chairman of the board’s scholarship program since 2002. He also is president of the Washington State Minority Dealers Association.

Andy Skotdal of KRKO-AM in Everett is in his second year of a two-year term on the Washington State Association of Broadcasters board of directors.

Travis O’Neil has joined Angel of the Winds Casino as its general manager. He comes to the Stillaguamish Tribe’s casino from Minnesota. A member of the Lower Sioux Indian Community, O’Neil has 15 years’ experience working in casinos.

Good deeds

Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. and employees recently held a fundraiser and food drive competition to benefit the Sky Valley Food Bank in Monroe. Linnea Sallberg from Southwest Airlines provided two round-trip tickets to the winner of a drawing. All employees who donated to the cause received chances to win the tickets. The company raised $6,265 and several hundred pounds of food.
