Never fear the engines are soon to be here.
Rolls-Royce announced it has shipped the engines for the Boeing Co.’s first 787 Dreamliner. Rolls’ Trent 1000 engines will arrive well in time for the plane’s rollout event scheduled for July 8.
Just down the road from Boeing, Goodrich Corp. workers will install engine covers at their new factory (read more about the Goodrich facility http://www.heraldnet.com/stories/06/09/21/100bus_goodrich001.cfm).
Rolls will supply the launch engines for each of the three versions of the 787 (787-8, 787-9, 787-3).
