Arlington man still missing after 10 days

ARLINGTON – It’s hard for his family to believe he would leave behind his dog, Pup.
“There’s no sense made from anything that’s gone on,” his sister Helen Greer said Monday.
Jack Francis Roys, 85, was reported missing from his Arlington home 10 days ago.
His house was locked up, his car was gone and Pup was in the yard.
Snohomish County sheriff’s investigators on Monday reported that they learned that Roys was at the Smokey Point Safeway on July 25.
“If anyone was there that day and has any information please call the tip line,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
Roys’ family is desperate to find him.
Roys has never been married and has no children.
He has lived in the area for decades and used to work at Boeing, Greer said. Relatives reported last seeing him on July 21.
“I hope someone has seen him,” Greer said. “Our concerns are getting him home alive. He may have been abducted or something. His going away is a mystery.”
Sheriff’s detectives investigating the man’s disappearance have said they don’t have any evidence of foul play, Hover said.
His family has reported that it is unlike Roys to be gone for more than a day without telling someone his plans.
“Most of his journeys are from his house to the grocery store,” Greer said. “That’s the puzzling part.”
Have you seen him?

He is described as a white man who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 185 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes. His 2001 silver four-door Chevy Impala with the license plate 156 TKG also is missing.
