EVERETT — The Snohomish County medical examiner on Monday released the name of the man shot and killed last week in south Everett.
Forrest T. Starrett, 48, of Marysville, died Aug. 21 from gunshot wounds, the medical examiner said. He was shot in the head, according to court documents.
Reached by phone Tuesday, the man’s family said they were not ready to talk about the death.
Starrett was found before dawn in a parking lot in the 8700 block of Holly Drive, police said.
He was lying next to a Ford Ranger pickup detectives later seized as evidence. The truck was littered with blood, spent shell casings and suspected methamphetamine, court papers said.
Police were looking for two cars, a white Ford Explorer and a silver or gray compact, seen driving from the area, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
No arrests have been made, and police haven’t named any suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Everett Police tip line at 425-257-8450.
