The most authentic way to see India

Some hardy visitors toured India using the most authentic method they could think of: auto rickshaws, basically tiny cars you drive with handlebars. (Page A2) The trip’s organizers gave each driver a few hints, such as cows usually have the right of way.

Rickshaws actually sound like an excellent mode of transport. They present a few troubles, but those are easily overcome.

Trouble: No doors.

Solution: That’s what tarps are for.

Trouble: No airbags.

Solution: Wrap yourself in pillows.

Trouble: Max speed 31 mph.

Solution: Don’t worry. You’re not gonna get any faster than that in I-5 traffic anyway.

Trouble: Tiny size.

Solution: Use it as a reason to finally go on that diet you’ve been planning.

Trouble: Can be prone to breakdowns.

Solution: It’s so light, you and a friend can carry it to the nearest repair shop.

Wisconsin beat the Cougars 42-21, easily covering the 14 point spread. No word yet on whether the two party schools beat 1,325 beer bong over/under.

Amazon.com is testing a fresh grocery delivery service. Since Amazon along with Google and Microsoft is well on its way to world domination, maybe it can manage to pack a grocery bag without breaking the eggs.
