SEMINAR

In a seminar designed to speak to one of the key questions of Christian living in our time, Ken Samples will speak at Northshore Christian Church on “Do All Roads Lead to God?”

Samples is an educator and author who lectures in Christian Apologetics at Biola University and at Providence Christian College in California. He formerly worked with the Christian Research Institute and regularly co-hosted the popular radio program, The Bible Answer Man.

The seminar is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Northshore Christian Church, 5700 23rd Drive W., Everett.

CONCERTS

The Maplewood Presbyterian Church kicks off the fall season for congregants and visitors alike with the Total Experience Gospel Choir, 7 tonight.

The Total Experience Gospel Choir is an internationally known gospel singing group. Their travels have taken them to 36 states, including Hawaii and Alaska. They have performed on five continents and in 28 countries.

A complimentary dessert social is scheduled for 6 p.m. before the concert begins. Child care is available.

New Life Prison Ministry will host The Mosaic Choir, comprising musicians and singers from more than 25 local churches, at 7 p.m. Sept. 22. In addition to the choir, a silent auction and dessert fellowship will follow to raise funds for New Life Prison Ministry.

The performance and auction will take place at New Life Foursquare Church, 6830 Highland Drive, Everett.

WORSHIP

All are invited to a Taizé Labyrinth Worship Service at 6 p.m. Sunday at Edmonds Christian Church, 23010 84th Ave. W., Edmonds. The labyrinth worship service is conducted in the manner of a Taizé service and is filled with music, prayer and silence. All are welcome to walk the labyrinth in the stillness of prayer.

PEACE VIGIL

Stanwood and Camano Island churches are holding a 24-hour vigil for peace at 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church, 1318 E. Highway 532 at the north end of Camano Island. Churches will lead prayers for those who died on Sept. 11, 2001.

WOMEN’S EVENTS

@1. a BODY STYLES:The MOMS Club of Snohomish is having a monthly meeting open to all mothers looking for fun and support. The MOMS Club is an international, nonprofit support group for mothers who stay at home with their children, including those who have home-based businesses or who work part-time but are home with their children during the day. The club offers a wide range of activities including play groups, books clubs and special daytime events geared toward children.

The MOMS club meets at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Community Church, 12033 Seattle Hill Road, Snohomish.

The Christian Women’s Connection will present an autumn garden party and luncheon from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Mill Creek Country Club.

Trevor Cameron from Wight’s Home &Garden in Lynnwood will speak on how to get yards ready for fall with plants, pruning tips and other preparations. The luncheon speaker will be Margaret Roller from Surrey, B.C. She will share her thoughts about “Living Significantly.”

FUNDRAISER

Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Marysville will host its annual garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 51st Avenue NE and Grove Street. There will be an all-day car wash and a buck-a-bag sale today from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Food and other refreshments will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the event will help fund the senior high youth trip to Mt. Cross Ministries in Northern California for service projects next summer.

Donations of clean, gently used clothing for babies, kids and teens, household items and furniture in good condition will be accepted. No computers, microwaves, older car seats or strollers.
