FYI: Send information for our giving list

Published 10:55 pm Wednesday, October 10, 2007

The Herald plans to publish its annual Ways to Give list on Nov. 18. Ways to Give lets readers know about charitable groups that need help during the holiday season.

Here’s the information we need: the name of your organization, what services you provide, hours, address, Web site, a phone number to be included in the listing, a phone number for confirmation, and what items or services your organization needs.

Submit information by Nov. 8 to Herald Community Extra coordinator Gale Fiege, P.O. Box 930, Everett, WA 98206, or e-mail community@heraldnet.com.

Everett Clinic offers flu shots

The Everett Clinic has ordered 17,000 doses of the flu shot for adults and 6,100 doses for children.

Despite shortages and distribution problems from vaccine manufacturers in recent years, health officials are optimistic about this year’s supply.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, influenza causes 200,000 hospitalizations a year and 36,000 deaths. For a full adult flu shot schedule, visit everettclinic.com/flu or call the flu shot hotline at 425-257-1400.

Join in building haunted house

Attend a meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett, underneath the covered shelter.

For more information, call 425-953-4043 or go to everettjaycees.org.
