Book a visit with a lawyer
Washington Lawyers for the Arts will offer a legal clinic at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Arts Council of Snohomish County, 1507 Wall St., Everett.
WLA makes legal resources accessible to artists and arts organizations and is Washington’s only nonprofit arts legal service organization. For more than 25 years, WLA has helped musicians, filmmakers, writers, painters, designers and others. Find low-cost, private legal consultations for artists and arts organizations.
Make an appointments for a 30-minute, confidential consultation with an attorney who specializes in arts and entertainment law. Topics to be discussed include copyright, trademark, licensing, fair use and contract issues.
Some issues, such as reviewing contracts and whether it is appropriate to incorporate, are fair game. Patent law, employment law and tax law issues are not appropriate for the clinic.
WLS asks for $20 per consultation.
