Lake Stevens: Plan changes get hearing
Possible changes to the city’s Comprehensive Plan are the topic of a public hearing by the Lake Stevens Planning Commission.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Community-Senior Center, 1808 Main St.

Mukilteo: College tips for students
Students can learn how to find the right college at an event planned for the Mukilteo Library.
The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at the library at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd.
Participants are expected to learn information on different types of colleges and how to pick the right one, as well as a timeline for finding and applying for a school. The event is being led by Daniel Follmer, assistant director of admission at University of Puget Sound.

Snohomish: : Church plans bake sale
St. John’s Episcopal Church plans to play host to the Dickens Tea and Parson’s Pantry bake sale from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at 913 Second St.
The event is expected to feature music, tea and light food. Proceeds will support community groups such as Matthew House, a nonprofit ministry in Monroe. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for students and senior citizens, and $25 for families.
Those who want to support this event but can’t attend may buy a collection of recipes in a hardbound cookbook featuring original artwork. Books are $25.
