Granite Falls: Preschool parade

A preschool parade with fun stories, songs, rhymes and crafts will be held Mondays during January.

The program aims to promote early literacy. It’s tailored for children ages 3 to 5. The program runs from 11 to 11:45 a.m. each Monday.

Marysville: Military hiring initiative on TV

Marysville cable access station TV21 plans starting Wednesday to air a pre- recorded presentation about hiring military family members.

The presentation outlines the Military Family Friendly Employment Partnership initiative led by the Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce.

The program is scheduled to run daily through Jan. 2 at noon, 4, 7 and 10 p.m.

The employment partnership seeks to encourage employers to consider hiring military spouses.

The Tulalip Casino played host to and videotaped the presentation last month.

Stanwood: Council agendas online

Agendas for Stanwood City Council meetings are now available online. Until last week, meeting agendas were only available at City Hall.

Packets with information about items the council plans to discuss are also available online.
