Nativity

South Everett Community Church will host a cantata with live nativity scene 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23.

The event is a dramatic presentation of the birth of Jesus with music accompaniment.

Concerts

First Christian Reformed Church plans to present “The Night of Miracles,” a Christmas cantata sung by the church choir.

The presentation is set for 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at the church, 1429 McDougall Ave., Everett.

Festivals

Everett First Presbyterian Church offers an interdenominational, cross-cultural New Year’s festival at 10 a.m. Dec. 30. Guests will be Byron and Inez Ahina of Christ in the Yucatan.

CLASSES

Everett First Presbyterian Church presents a special class called “Matthew’s R-Rated Version of Advent.”

The study is billed as a “shockingly accurate” account of Advent, a story for adults that is intended to awaken the mind to the character of the Gospel.

The age of all participants will be verified at the door.

The class meets from 11:20 a.m. to 12:14 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23 at Everett First Presbyterian Church, 2936 Rockefeller Ave., Everett.

Torah classes and discussions for practicing Jews or those who wish to learn more about their faith take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Chabad Jewish Center of Snohomish County, 19 W. Intercity Ave., Everett. The classes are free for adults and teenagers (with parents’ permission).

Chabad Jewish Center of Snohomish County continues its course on the mystical view of human nature, titled “Ten Steps to the Inner You.”

The 11-week winter semester of Wednesday Night Kabbalah continues at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Chabad Jewish Center, 19 W. Intercity Ave., Everett. The class is open to adults; teenagers are welcome at parents’ discretion. The class is free; no registration is required.

WOMEN’S EVENTs

Registration is now open for the next two series of the Christian-based “Learn to Let Go and Grow” workshops set for 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday or Thursdays beginning Jan. 8 and 10 at the Old Snohomish Library, 105 Cedar Ave., Snohomish. Each of the evenings will feature a different series. Members select one seven-week series.

Workshops are open to all women who register in advance.
