Edmonds: Donate to help children
Help children participate in fun and educational activities by donating a light on the holiday fir tree outside the Frances Anderson Center.
The donation event, called Light a Light, is expected to run through Wednesday. Donating a light to the fir tree costs $5, with proceeds going to the Edmonds Youth Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship fund benefits children from low-income families.
Each year, the Edmonds Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department gives out roughly $2,000 in scholarships.
For more information, call 425-771-0230 or visit the Frances Anderson Center at 700 Main St.
