Corvette destroyed in fire at dealership
LYNNWOOD — A 1990s model Chevrolet Corvette was destroyed Wednesday evening after it caught fire in the service bay of a Highway 99 car dealership.
Lynnwood firefighters responded to the fire at Seaview Chevrolet on a busy stretch of Highway 99 at 180th Avenue SW about 7:45 p.m.
Lt. Jason Turner with the fire department said the dealership’s sprinkler kept the fire from spreading. Firefighters completely extinguished the fire when they arrived.
Edmonds Fire Department and Snohomish County Fire District 1 assisted, Turner said. A second car also may have sustained smoke damage.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
