Bond, levy will do much for students

On the Feb. 19 mail-in ballot, there will be a construction bond and a levy supporting Mukilteo School District. We are writing to encourage your support for these measures.
An approved bond and levy will reduce overcrowding by renovating two schools and adding a badly needed elementary school; make schools healthier and safer; improve technology; and provide the community with better facilities. All this can be accomplished and we can still have a lower tax rate than last year!
You can get the facts at the Mukilteo School District’s Web site, mukilteo.wednet.edu.
We thank in advance those of you who will be helping to support our work with the Citizen’s Team for Mukilteo Schools. Our schools are a big part of what makes Mukilteo a great place to live and raise our children. We are among the many parents and community members, like you, who believe in the importance of keeping our local schools a priority in the community by providing our students the best environment in which to learn.
Please join us by voting yes for kids. They’re counting on us.
