Local briefly: Snowboarder dies at Stevens Pass ski area

STEVENS PASS — Officials are investigating the death of a snowboarder on Saturday at Stevens Pass ski resort, officials from the King County Medical Examiner’s Office and the King County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday.

The death occurred around 4 p.m. No other information about the incident was available on Sunday.

Edmonds: Drugstore entered, man caught

Police officers on Sunday caught a 19-year-old man who broke into a drugstore in Edmonds.

The incident occurred at Bartell Drugs in the 23000 block of 100th Ave. W. in Edmonds at 5:04 a.m., Edmonds police Cpl. L.P. Miller said.

The man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail.

There was little damage to the drugstore, Miller said.
