Bonefish Grill (22616 Bothell Everett Hwy., Bothell; 425-485-0305): The neo-mediterranean ambience of this specialty seafood eatery isn’t the work of some enterprising Puget Sound restauranteur, but it still rises above its corporate origins. Attentive servers, dressed in chef whites, come in quick and regular succession. Seafood and steak dishes are deliciously seasoned, slightly crisp on the outside, tender inside; the carmelized crust of the créme brulée tops off a satisfying meal. Average plate cost: $6.70-$14.70 appetizers; $15.50-$22.50 main course. (Reviewed April 16)
Thai Menu (402 164th St. SW, Lynnwood; 425-745-9323): A menu overflowing with possibilities includes Chicken Satay, sliced chicken marinated in herbs and spices, served with peanut sauce and cucumber salad; Phad Thai, pan fried noodles with eggs, bean curd and bean sprouts with a choice of meat, topped off with ground peanuts; coconut ice cream or sweet black rice topped with coconut milk for dessert. A welcoming atmosphere is matched by attentive service. Average meal price: $7.65- $9.95. (Reviewed March 26)

Soup and chili available by the cup or bowl. Average meal cost: $2.50-$4.50 sandwiches; $1.50-$2.50 soups; $2.50-$5.50 salads. (Reviewed Feb. 27)
