Navy Airman Recruit Carin L. Maddux, a 2007 graduate of Stanwood High School, recently completed boatswain’s mate training in Pensacola, Fla. She currently is serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS John Stennis in Bremerton. The daughter of Kathy Maddux-Dunn of Camano Island, Maddux attended Marysville-Pilchuck High School for three years before transferring to Stanwood. She completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
