Air Force Airman Samuel D. Valladares has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Leo and Carolyn Valladares of Edmonds, and is a 2007 graduate of Edmonds-Woodway High School.
Army Sgt. Joshua K. Wetzel has returned to Alaska after serving in Iraq. The soldier is assigned to the 725th Brigade Support Battalion, a subordinate unit of the 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division at Fort Richardson, Anchorage. Wetzel is a parachute rigger with six years of military service. His wife, Marianne, is the daughter of Esther Gibson of Monroe.
Air Force Airman Joshua G. Bingham has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Bingham is the son of Pamela Straight of Marysville and grandson of David Young of Bothell. He is a 2007 graduate of Marysville-Pilchuck High School.
Air Force Airman Errick S. Wernecke has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Scott Wernecke of Oak Harbor, and is a 2005 graduate of Oak Harbor High School.
Air Force Airman Alixandria M. Van Rossen has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Van Rossen is the daughter of Denise Berndahl of Mukilteo and granddaughter of Leon and Jeanette Van Rossen of Everett. She is a 2005 graduate of Kamiak High School.
Navy Ensign Joshua D. Denning, son of Kristin and David Denning of Stanwood, recently reported for duty with Training Squadron 22, Naval Air Station, Kingsville, Texas. Denning is a 1999 graduate of Lynnwood High School and joined the Navy in January 2007. He is a 1999 graduate of Everett Community College and a 2006 graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Army Spc. Steven Lawrence Cook currently is serving in Baghdad, Iraq, with the 598th Maintenance Division, which is based at Fort Benning in Georgia. Cook grew up in Everett and attended Immaculate Conception/Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and Archbishop Murphy High School. Cook graduated from Everett High School. His father and stepmother are Steven E. and Lexine Kustus Cook of Seattle. His mother is Rose Dickson Cook of Everett.
