INDEX — A man who was charged with first-degree arson and assault in an April 5 fire pleaded not guilty Wednesday in Snohomish County Superior Court.

Prosecutors say Dean Lance Reihs, 50, got into a fight with his girlfriend and burned down the trailer in which the two lived. They also accuse him of trying to hurt her by ramming the car in which she fled from Reihs.

He was being held on $200,000 bail.

Snohomish County sheriff’s officers found Reihs hiding in the woods after the incident. He denied setting the fire. A May 30 trial date was set.
