LYNNWOOD – The man who died in a motorcycle crash Monday night was identified this afternoon as Joseph D. Jackson, 28, of Everett, the Snohomish County Medical Examiner said.

Jackson died from head injuries, the medical examiner said. His death was ruled accidental.

Just before 8 p.m. Monday, Jackson’s 2006 Harley Davidson crashed into a concrete sign post at the intersection of 140th Street SW and 64th Avenue W, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. He died at the scene.

Crash detectives were investigating whether Jackson was wearing a helmet and whether speed was a factor in the crash, she said.
