Fundraiser for homeless women set

Everett’s Recovery for Life Training Center invites the public to a Queen, It’s a New Day fundraising banquet, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 20610 44th Ave. W., Lynnwood.

Former “queens” plan to relate how the annual Queen, It’s a New Day event has helped them escape homelessness, addictions and lives of abuse. A recorded message from Gov. Chris Gregoire will expand on how “Queen, It’s a New Day” is helping women.

All proceeds from the banquet benefit the upcoming Nov. 3 and 4 Queen, It’s a New Day event.
