Rep. Smith to hold community forum

CLINTON — State Rep. Norma Smith, R-Clinton, will host a community forum via telephone Wednesday night giving residents of the 10th Legislative District and the entire state a chance to question her about state issues.

Smith will conduct the tele-forum — which is essentially a conference call — starting at 7 p.m. It will last one hour.

Callers will be able to listen live and ask questions.

Sen. Haugen plans fundraiser Saturday

COUPEVILLE — State Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen, D-­Camano, is planning a fundraiser Saturday for her re-­election campaign.

Haugen and supporters will gather from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Coupeville Recreation Hall, 901 NW Alexander St., Coupeville.

Secretary of State candidate to speak

EVERETT — Jason Osgood of Seattle, a Democratic candidate for Secretary of State, will speak tonight at a meeting of Democracy for Snohomish County.

Osgood is one of three people seeking to unseat incumbent Republican Secretary of State Sam Reed.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Evergreen Branch of the Everett Public Library, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett.
