With a decision expected next week from government regulators on a controversial Air Force tanker contract, several news items surfaced recently that could complicate the already messy fight between the Boeing Co. and Northrop Grumman.
* The Secretary of Defense ousted two of the Air Force’s top officials.
* Boeing and Northrop agree that the Air Force erred in the way it calculated the cost of Boeing’s tanker.
* Boeing supporters in Congress upped their rhetoric, with Rep. Norm Dicks saying he wants Congress involved regardless of the GAO decision.
* Lastly, a Bloomberg story suggests this whole fiasco may just end up in court.
