Consolation prizes for ‘Price’ player
On the CBS game show “The Price Is Right” on Wednesday, Everett’s Brian Hertzog looked nervous and chewed gum as he estimated $1,250 for the price of a stove and some Little Debbie muffins. His guess was too low to send him on to the show’s lucrative Showcase game.
Instead, the 28-year-old won consolation prizes, a $400 two-piece luggage set and $320 worth of diamond jewelry. The luggage has an internal scale to tell a traveler its weight. “I fly a lot, so it will come in handy,” said Hertzog.
