McCain, Air Force tankers and the truth

Politifact.com has taken a look at advertisements about presidential candidate Sen. John McCain and his ties to Airbus.

The Web site is run by the St. Petersburg Times and Congressional Quarterly. Politifact investigates statements made in the campaigns and gives a Truth-o-Meter ruling.

So far, the brains behind Politifact have given three rulings in regards to McCain and Airbus.

Most recently, they evaluated an advertisement by Campaign Money Watch against McCain.

Here’s Politifact’s story, published Thursday. The latest ad gets a “Half True” rating.

The site gave ratings of “Barely True” and “True” to different aspects of the following TV advertisement.
