Air Force Airman Sara D. Rocero has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. She is the daughter of Rodrigo and Kathy Rocero of Everett. Rocero is a 2005 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School.

Navy Hospitalman Thu Thien Vo, whose wife, Hong Phuong, is the daughter of Nga Nguyen and Minh Le of Everett, recently reported for duty at Naval Hospital, Jacksonville, Fla.

Army Pvt. Peter D. Dunphy has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Dunphy is the son of Ronald Dunphy of Oak Harbor.

Craig O. Blankenship has joined the Army under its delayed entry program. Blankenship, a 2008 graduate of a high school program at George C. Wallace State College, Dothan, Ala., has reported to Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga., for basic training. He is the son of Jerri Scott of Marysville and Curtis Blankenship of Eufaula, Ala.

Nicole C. Schmitz has been commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army after successfully completing the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program and graduating with a bachelor’s degree from Washington State University. Schmitz is the daughter of Nicholas and Debra Schmitz of Everett and is a 2004 graduate of Kamiak High School.

Army Pfc. Matthew Vergosen has arrived for duty at U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwoehr, Germany. Vergosen, a military police officer, is assigned to the Echo Troop 5th Cavalry Brigade Reconnaissance Troop. He is the son of Mark and Leah Vergosen of Everett. Vergosen graduated from Snohomish High School in 2006.
