Sultan holds meeting on gang activity
The Governor’s Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee and the Sultan Chamber of Commerce present an informational meeting on gangs with detective Stephen Halley from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office at 6 p.m. tonight at Sultan Middle School, 301 High Ave., Sultan. Theater for kids comes to Everett library
The Everett Public Library plays host to two free early literacy events this weekend. “You and Me and ABC,” a concert for young children performed by Eric Ode is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Everett Public Library, Evergreen Branch, 9512 Evergreen Way, Everett. “Bayou Bugs,” a live musical theater show for young children, performed by Last Leaf Theater, is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Main Library, 2702 Hoyt Ave, Everett. Stanwood seniors host pancake breakfast

The South County Senior Center plays host to a barbecue chicken dinner, sponsored by QFC from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at 220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds. The cost is $5. The center hosts Italian Night — A Night of Love, featuring an Italian dinner and Italian music performed by the Sound Singers from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 26. Job fair for mature workers Wednesday
WorkSource Snohomish County and the U.S. Department of Labor present a Mature Worker Employment and Resource Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Floral Hall, Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd., Everett. The free event coincides with “National Employ Older Workers Week” which runs through Sept. 29. Businesses registered include ResCare and The Home Depot among others.
