A four-bedroom, 3.5-bath Craftsman-style two-story north of Lake Stevens and east of Marysville is our featured home this week. It was built in 2006 and is on a private five-acre wooded lot.

All doors in the house are solid wood with natural stain.

A double door at the front entry opens to a great-room with hickory flooring, vaulted cathedral ceiling, numerous windows overlooking the front yard and woods, and a two-story gas fireplace with stone hearth and surround.

Kitchen highlights include natural wood cabinets, granite slab countertops, a large island with breakfast bar and sink, stainless steel appliances and a pantry.

An informal dining area off the kitchen includes a new high-efficiency woodstove, and a glass door that opens to the home’s covered front porch.

A large dining room is positioned near the great-room and has hickory flooring, a multi-coffered ceiling, and a glass door accessing the back yard.

At the other side of the great-room, a double door opens to a bedroom suite with pale neutral plush carpeting, a gas fireplace, vaulted cathedral ceiling, a walk-in closet and a double closet, a glass door accessing the front porch, and windows overlooking a side yard.

Features of the suite’s bathroom include 18-inch tile flooring, two elongated single vanities topped with tile, a deep soaker tub with tile surround next to a large window overlooking the back yard, and an oversized shower with tile surround.

A combination laundry room/half bathroom, a bedroom and a full bathroom complete the entry level.

The laundry room, which includes space for a refrigerator or upright freezer, has vinyl flooring, an elongated single vanity topped with laminate, and a window facing the back yard.

Features of the full bathroom include tile flooring, an elongated double vanity topped with tile, and a shower-tub combination with faux tile fiberglass surround.

A door near the laundry room accesses the home’s attached three-car garage with workspace.

Next to a wall opposite the front door, a staircase ascends to the home’s upper level, where the remaining bedrooms, a bonus room and another full bathroom are located.

At the top of the stairs there’s a wraparound loft overlooking the great-room. The loft includes enough space for a home office area.

Both upper-level bedrooms have vaulted cathedral ceilings, and the bathroom has a shower-tub combination and a long double vanity.
