Fashion show helps kids’ dance school
Whether you’re a fashionista or a fan of supporting creative programs for kids, you’ll enjoy the Art Divas Fashion Show. See the latest in fall fashions, enjoy tasty treats, possibly win a prize and support The Dance School, a nonprofit group committed to helping kids learn the art of dance.
The show starts at 6 p.m. Thursday at The Dance School, 2821 Rockefeller Ave., Everett. Cost is $30 per person. Reserve your space by stopping by at Burkett’s clothing, 2617 Colby Ave., Everett.
Expect to see some local divas on the runway: Carol Thomas, Everett’s cultural arts manager; artist Merilee Moore; and Everett Councilwoman Brenda Stonecipher.

Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County offers a six-week community education and volunteer training class on Wednesdays from 6 to 9:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 15.
The classes take place in Everett. Classes are free to volunteers willing to volunteer 10 hours within six months of training.
