Rick Steves brings Iran to Lynnwood

Travel writer Rick Steves hopes to bring Iran to Lynnwood at a free event on Friday night, following a 10-day trip he made to the Middle Eastern nation for a PBS special.

Steves will speak at four spots in the Puget Sound area in the coming months. Each visit will include a slide show and a Q&A session, as Steves aims to humanize a country that frequently makes headlines.

The Lynnwood event begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6215 196th St. SW. Contact the church at 425-778-2159.
