BOTHELL — A lighting strike left a large hole in the wall of a house Tuesday night.
Firefighters responded to a call in the 2600 block of 132nd Street SE about 8 p.m., Snohomish County Fire District 1 spokeswoman Leslie Hynes said.
A man, who was at home at the time, reported that lighting struck his house, Hynes said. Nobody was hurt.
When firefighters arrived, they found a floor-to-ceiling hole near the corner of the home. Pieces of the wall from the dining room were found in the kitchen. Charred wood was everywhere and the dining table had been blown away from a wall, Hynes said.
She said it’s rare for lighting to strike a house or another structure.
