No one was injured but a cat died and a family was displaced following a house fire in Bothell on Thursday.
The fire was reported at 3:55 p.m. at the home in the 22800 block of 58th Drive SE, said Ralph Provenzano, a battalion chief with Snohomish County Fire District 7.
Five people were home when the fire broke out and they all got out safely, Provenzano said.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation Thursday evening, he said. Damage to the home was estimated at $500,000.
The Red Cross was called to help the family find accommodations, Provenzano said.
