Arlington City Council, regular meeting, 7 p.m. today, City Council chambers, 110 E. Third St. The agenda includes holding a public hearing on sewer connection fees and setting the 2009 property tax levy.

Everett Public Library Board of Trustees, 7 p.m. Tuesday, library director’s office, 2702 Hoyt Ave. The board is scheduled to review its policy on unattended children and consider lowering the card-carrying age for members to under 4 years old.

Snohomish County Councilman John Koster of Arlington has scheduled a town hall meeting, set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd. Koster plans to talk about the financial challenges facing the county and how revenue shortfalls could affect county services. Land-use topics also are on the agenda. People are encouraged to bring their questions and concerns to the meeting.
