Fatal I-405 crash under investigation

BOTHELL — State troopers are investigating a fatal crash in Bothell on Tuesday.
A van struck a railing just after noon on the northbound exit ramp from I-405 onto Highway 527, also known the Bothell-Everett Highway, Washington State Patrol trooper Keith Leary said.
The victim, 40, of Snohomish, was not immediately identified.
He may have had a medical emergency, Leary said. Aid crews attempted cardiopulmonary resuscitation but were unable to revive the man.
Bothell police are investigating. The Snohomish County medical examiner is expected to conduct an autopsy.
