Proposed garbage rate hike topic of meeting

The Sultan City Council plans a public hearing on proposed increases to the monthly garbage collection rates at 7 p.m. Thursday during the City Council meeting at 319 Main St. Information on the proposed rates is available at City Hall and on the City’s web site at www.ci.sultan.wa.us. Written comments may be sent to the City Clerk, P.O. Box 1199, Sultan, WA 98294-1199.

Kids get to test drive toys at library Saturday

The Mukilteo Library is hosting a presentation on toys for school children by entertainer Alleyoop at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Learn about and try out more than 35 toys from around the world, plus hear a collection of whistles.
