Fisherman found dead in Skykomish River near Gold Bar

GOLD BAR – The body of a fisherman was found this morning in the Skykomish River near Gold Bar.
The man was discovered about 9:30 a.m. in a couple feet of water, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. His pole was found nearby.
Investigators haven’t identified the man and it’s unclear how long he’s been in the water. He is expected to be taken to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police don’t have any reports of missing fishermen. There are no signs of foul play, Hover said.
