Zella Nilson

Zella Nilson of Snohomish was born Jan. 6, 1908, in Forest, Idaho. She celebrated her 101st birthday on Jan. 6.

Zella grew up in Weippe, Idaho, and was married to Oscar for 30 years. She has lived in Snoho­mish for 51 years and is a member of Christ The King Lutheran Church. She now lives at Merry Haven, where she enjoys visits from family and friends.

Garza

John and Lydia Garza of Snohomish celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 27, which was also John’s 73rd birthday.

The couple were married Dec. 27, 1956, in Los Angeles.

John retired from the City of Everett after 36 years with the water department.

They have five children, 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

John and Lydia’s anniversary celebration included spending time with family and friends. The couple also likes to travel often.

Peterson

Dallas and Leora Peterson of Marysville celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Jan. 6.

The couple were married Jan. 6, 1939, in Lyons, Neb.

Throughout the years, Dallas and Leora have provided much love and support to their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
