Healthy Kids Day coming to museum

Imagine Children’s Museum holds a Healthy Kids Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 1502 Wall St., Everett.

The event includes free health and vision screenings and advice on nutrition and fitness. Kids can make a healthy snack recipe book. Organizers also plan to hand out free child-identity kits.

General admission is $7.

Mukilteo library holds Game Day on Friday

Mukilteo Community Library offers a Game Day from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at 4675 Harbour Pointe Blvd., Mukilteo.

Kids who have been released early from school can play board games and work on puzzles. Friends are welcome.

Hit the water at Lake Stevens Rowing Club

The Lake Stevens Rowing Club plays host to a youth and adult Try Rowing event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the boat launch at North Cove Park, 17th Place NE, Lake Stevens.

The cost is $10 per person.

Foster parenting class offered in Everett

Compass Health in Everett offers a free Introduction to Foster Parenting class from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 24 at 4526 Federal Ave., Everett.

Registration is required by Tuesday.

The class offers information on how children enter foster care and the requirements for becoming a foster parent.

Aging class offered in Mill Creek on Tuesdays

The Mill Creek Senior Center offers a free Aging Well class from 10 to 11:30 a.m. the first and third Tuesdays of each month through March 17 at the Washington State University Extension Conference Room, McCollum Park, 600 128th St. SE, Everett.

Volunteers needed for Taste of Decadence

Village Community Service seeks volunteers for its annual Taste of Decadence fundraising event scheduled for June 26 at the Smokey Point Community Church, 17721 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.

Volunteers are needed to serve on the planning committee, to assist with mailings and graphic design, and to help create marketing materials. Donations for the silent auction also are needed.

Village Community Services helps people with developmental and other disabilities find jobs and homes.

Military families can enjoy YMCA programs

The YMCA of Snohomish County offers military families access to youth, family and health and well-being programs as part of the Armed Services YMCA and Department of Defense Outreach Initiative.

Membership fees are underwritten by the Defense Department and administered through Military OneSource, an information and referral service for military families.
